Managing for Success: Providing Management and Decision Support Training to Virginia's Tobacco Farm Families

Farm Business Management Update, December 1999

Managing for Success workshops will be held in Keysville February 7 and 8 and Chatham February 10 and 11, 2000. All tobacco farm family members are invited to attend one of the two-day hands-on workshops to learn a systematic approach to planning the future of the family farm business. Tobacco family businesses face many challenges requiring involvement of all members of the business in addressing how the family business will be structured and managed. Farm families will be assisted in developing a strategic management plan that includes

Who should attend? All members of the tobacco farm family and business partners (spouse, children, grandparents, brothers and sisters, business partners, etc.) with an interest in the business.

You should attend if you want to take an active role in changing and managing the future direction of your farm business.

Dates, locations, and contacts: All workshops start at 9:00 a.m. and will end by 4:00 p.m.
