New Farm Business Management Agent Starts in November

Please join me in welcoming Lauren P. Harper to Virginia Cooperative Extension's Farm Business Management program. Lauren will be working out of the Southampton Extension office and will provide educational programming in the Southeast District. Lauren comes to VCE from the Farm Service Agency of USDA in Courtland, Virginia where she served as Agricultural Credit Manager. Working directly with both farmers and private-sector lenders has given her a vast background in agricultural credit. A strong supporter of VCE, Lauren was a frequent speaker and teacher at numerous extension activities and workshops in Southeast Va. Lauren graduated from Virginia Tech with an M.S. in Agricultural Economics and a B.S. degree in Animal Science.
