John Howe Returns to VCE

Farm Business Management Update, October 1999

August 16, 1999, was the first day on the job for John Howe as Extension Agent Farm Business Management. John is housed in the Fauquier Extension Office and will be providing educational programs in the northern half of the district.

John's educational background includes an AA from Ferrum College, a BS in Animal Industries from Penn State, and a MS in Dairy Science from Virginia Tech. He has extensive experience working with farmers from his 17 years with Farm Credit in Warrenton and prior to that as Extension Agent, Farm Management with VCE.

John's experience working with commercial agriculture and farmers in Northern Virginia will be a real benefit to VCE. He is a strong supporter of 4-H, serving as a volunteer for the Stafford 4-H program. He has served as a camp counselor and given support to the annual 4-H livestock show and sale.
