Mid-Atlantic Direct Marketing Conference

Farm Business Management Update, December 2000

Virginia is hosting the Mid-Atlantic Direct Marketing Conference (MADMC) February 19-24, 2001. Dr. Umberger has authorized VCE-ANR agents to use this program for in-service training. The 19th Annual Mid-Atlantic Direct Marketing conference will focus on innovative marketing techniques for pick-your-own produce operations, roadside stands, farmers' markets, and other agricultural direct sale businesses. This year's keynote speaker will be Joel Salatin of Polyface Farm, Swoope, Virginia. He will discuss "Charting a New Course: Relationship Marketing."
